    Award for Irish Columban Fr Shay Cullen

    On 17th November 2017 in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, Irish Columban missionary, Fr Shay Cullen will be  the recipient of the 2017 Martin Buber Plaque Award in recognition of his internationally acclaimed work on human rights undertaken through the PREDA Foundation, which he established in the Philippines in 1974.

    Columbans send message to COP23 in Germany

    Columban General Council on the opening of the United Nations’ COP23 presided by Fiji and hosted in Bonn, Germany, urges all leaders to take meaningful action on advancing the agreements made at COP21 in Paris and COP 22 in Marrakesh.

    Columban Schools Journalism Competition 2018

    The Columban missionaries invite young people to enter a journalism competition, an initiative to mark their centenary. Budding journalists aged 15-18 are asked to write an article or make a video report that informs, challenges and raises important issues on the topic: ‘Migrants are our neighbours’.
