Columbans at work in parishes

At the National Evangelisation Conference in July, the Columbans shared some examples of their mission experience in parishes in Fiji, Chile, Pakistan, Peru and Britain, in which lay people play a pivotal role.

Parishes in Britain are exploring the meaning of ‘evangelisation’ and how it can be manifested in their community.  With a view to assisting them in this process of discernment and planning for action, we called upon Columbans who are or have been recently working in a diverse range of parishes to share their experience of parish life.

You can download their experiences below and we invite you to share them with your parish community.  If you would like to know more about Columban experience of parish ministry, please contact Stephen Awre in the Columban Mission Office on 01564 772 096.
