Brick making is typical of what people in bonded slavery are required to do.

Columban missionaries Fr. Tomas King and Fr Liam O’Callaghan are the main feature in a Newstalk radio documentary on bonded slavery in the Sindh province of Pakistan.

This documentary provides an excellent introduction and insight in to what Columban missionaries are doing in Pakistan to support communities of all faiths on the margins of society, who are caught up in bonded slavery.

Bonded slavery, often involving making bricks, has long been the only way for Christian and Hindu communities in Sindh province to find work.

Columbans are supporting the development of education for children, so that they have the option to break free of bonded slavery and build a better future for themselves.

Please donate to our September Appeal to support Columban missionaries like Fr. Tomas and Fr. Liam share Gospel joy and make a difference to peoples’ lives.

This documentary was first broadcast on Newstalk radio on Saturday 1st September at 21:00.
