The Columbans and CYMFed are seeking to appoint a ‘Faith in Action Graduate Volunteer’. This will be a year of personal development and growth, putting faith into action in justice and peace education and in supporting Catholic Youth Ministry in England and Wales.

The year will include a significant overseas visit to justice and peace projects (most likely to be around the US/Mexico border).

Anna, our current volunteer says:
“Being the ‘Faith in Action Volunteer’ has been an amazing, varied role with lots of opportunities to learn and grow in my understanding of justice and peace. I would highly recommend this role to anyone who wants to grow in their faith and understanding of how this can be actively lived. It’s a year of learning, collaborative working, varied experiences, work with young people and lots of fun!”

The successful candidate will be a practising member of the Catholic Church, able to work well on their own and as part of a team. They will be 21 or above, have good communication and organisational skills, and be computer literate.

Provision: Volunteer package covering accommodation, travel expenses and £70 per week
Hours: 35 hours per week (including some evenings and weekends which should be taken back in lieu)
Duration:  Fixed-term for twelve months

Applications are now closed – many thanks to all who applied and/or shared this advert.
