• International day of action on debt, December 2006 - campaigners, particularly in the global South, will act to draw attention to debt domination.
What can you do?
• Give two minutes: send a CUT THE STRINGS action postcard
• Give five minutes: stay informed — sign up for e-alerts on our website.
• Give half an hour: write a letter to the UK government about unfair conditions, Nigeria’s debt payment, or delivering and extending G8 promises.
• Give half a day: circulate CUT THE STRINGS petitions or cards around your friends and colleagues.
• Give a day: come to our CUT THE STRINGS campaigner workshop* or to our conference in the spring with debates, discussions, speakers and workshops. We will be advertising the date nearer the time.
• Give a few days or more: raise awareness locally — perhaps on Debt Day on 16 May — by lobbying your MP, using the local media or running an event.
