Far East Magazine
‘Far East’ is the official magazine of the Missionary Society of St. Columban for Britain and it is published eight times a year. It reports on the work of Columban missionaries and seeks spiritual and material support for the missionaries working around the world. ‘Far East’ will help you better understand other cultures, other religions, the effects of global economics on the poor, and our shared call through baptism to become missionaries.
Often, the stories are tragic tales of our failed human condition, the poverty and exploitation and inhumanity that mars our earthly existence. Yet, in the midst of despair, Columban missionaries live in solidarity with ordinary people and, together, they move forward to improve their social, economic and spiritual lives, always with Our Saviour as their guide and their eyes on God’s Kingdom.
